RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, the Systems Support Analyst supports information systems solutions development by assisting with user needs analysis and business systems design. This includes supporting and testing systems, assisting with defining specifications, building reports as required and providing user support.? Coordinates and provides a wide variety of technical and user support (Tier 1 and Tier 2) to BC Transit?s Enterprise Resource Programs (ERP). Supports and participates in systems project activities, coordinates and documents system and user acceptance testing (SIT and UAT). Supports the reliability and performance of the corporation?s databases by providing technical and user support as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 3 ? 5 years? experience work in the information systems environment 3 + years? experience designing and developing reports Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Oracle Discoverer, Crystal Reports, JD Edwards Report Writer, Insight, and SoFi Reports 3 + years? experience providing support for ERP applications in an Oracle production environment Prior experience and strong skills in Java, JavaScript, J2EE software development, .NET, SQL Scripting, HTML, Shell Scripting, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Flash Experience in web development platforms and mobile applications Experience with the following would be an asset: Discoverer Toad .net Trapeze Hastus SQL JD Edwards ePersonality ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Completion of a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check is required.
