LONDON ? British Home Secretary Theresa May is facing further pressure in Parliament over her handling of border controls at British sea and air ports.
May faces questioning Wednesday after a top official at the U.K. Border Agency resigned and accused her of misrepresenting the facts.
A storm has erupted over a relaxation of controls this summer at the height of the tourist season.
May has said she ordered a pilot program to ease airport lines but blames border agency personnel for eliminating some identity checks without authorization.
Border force head Brodie Clark, who resigned Tuesday, said May's version of events is inaccurate. Opposition lawmakers say she put national security at risk.
Prime Minister David Cameron is backing May.
