Seeking an experienced, motivated, knowledgeable Human Resources Manager who has a deep understanding of the requirements and needs of the position.

Our resort is located 17 miles outside of Moab, Utah along the Colorado River. Beautiful cabins each have either a fantastic mountain or river view and offer a quiet, secluded refuge to our guests who desire this type of environment.? For amenities, the ranch offers a full service spa on property, catering to those interested in manicures to extensive massage treatments.
We also offer numerous hiking and horseback riding options, and work with local agencies for Hummer, helicopter, airplane and rafting trips.

FOR EMPLOYEES, we offer discounted meal tickets, low rent housing on property, onsite exercise facility and recreation room, as well as select activity opportunities for a minimal cost.

SRR is looking for someone with at least 3 years experience as an HR Generalist/Manager. Must be current on all federal and?state?changes and regulation updates. Able to work with all staff and build a strong, yet personable relationship with them, especially since almost all employees are housed on property. Strong training experience is a plus. Job duties would include recruiting, new hires processing, new hire orientation, management of all benefits, coaching and counseling, processing of J-1 and H2B staff, terminations, training, and other duties that may fall under this classification as they arise.

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • Must have hospitality sector experience.
Technical Requirements:
  • Strong background in employment, employee relations, benefits, wage and salary, employee training, accident prevention, and government regulations and policies as they impact HR.
  • Solid background in EEO, OSHA, ADA, anti-discrimination, COBRA, immigration requirements, etc.
  • Effectively communicate and promote employee benefit program.
  • Identify benefit programs that can be offered employees without increasing employer costs.
  • Conduct needs analysis, develop, implement, and monitor training programs and materials.
  • Stay abreast of technology, regulatory, and administrative trends that impact HR.
  • Experience running one-person HR Department.
  • Ability to maintain proper applicant flow, set affirmative action goals, write job descriptions, know various recruiting sources, coordinate/conduct new employee orientations, and ability to interview effectively.
  • Successfully defend against unemployment claims, Workers' Compensation claims, etc.
  • Conduct wage and salary surveys.
  • Provides employee counseling as necessary.
  • Plans and coordinates employee functions, suggestion program, etc.
  • Take an active role in professional HR organizations.
Educational Requirements:
  • AA/AS Two year degree.
  • Specific degree in: Business/HR/Management
